To make the Call Log more useful, you can flag and annotate your Call Log entries.
To flag an entry, check the checkbox in the flag column (it is designated with a flag icon). When flagged, the call item will be a different color (if the item is not selected, it will be highlighted yellow; when selected, a flagged item will be green). You can use this feature to highlight important calls or calls related to a specific project, whatever you want. You can also use the flagged property to sort your call entries (click on the flag header cell to sort by flagged status; click again to reverse the sort).
In addition to flagging call entries in the Call Log, you can also annotate individual entries with a note containing any textual information you wish. To add a note to a call entry, select the specific entry in the table at the top of the Call Log window and then, in the bottom detail section, enter your note in the note field. If you do not see the detail section of the Call Log window, double-click on the separator bar to expand the detail section. The note field is a good place to enter specific details of a call that are not otherwise kept in the log.
If you have added a note to a call entry, the note column in the Call Log table view (designated with a pencil icon) will display a blue indicator signifying that a note is present. If you delete a note, the indicator will be removed. Like the flag column, you can sort your Call Log by entries that have notes or not. To do this, click on the pencil header cell to enact the sort. Click the table header again to reverse the sort.
