The rules example area of the Dialing Rules pane of the Preferences window lets you preview how Dialectic would handle a given phone number, given the current set of Dialing Rules.
Example Number. Enter a number to see how the current Dialing Rules would identify & transform it before dialing. Entering a number in this field won’t actually dial the number, it is for testing purposes only.
Transformed Number. The result of applying the current Dialing Rules to the number supplied on the left. The transformed number will be shown as well as the call type identified for the number and, subsequently, the Dial Method configuration that would be used for this call.
