Version: 1.0.9
Release Date: July 20, 2004
Requirements: Mac OS X 10.3+ (with BSD subsystem), iTunes 4.0.1+, QuickTime Player, Internet connection, & Amazon.com Web Services Developer’s Token (now called a Subscription ID) (free)
Script Type: Editable
License: Freeware (GPL)
Installation: Download, expand, and place in the iTunes Scripts folder.
Description: Grab artwork for your MP3s from Amazon.com and embed it in your ID3 tags. Requires an Amazon.com Web Services Developer’s Token (aka Subscription ID) — this is free. It will work on an entire library or just the selected tracks and it skips tracks that already have artwork.
Note: Up to version 1.0.4, this script relied on XML-RPC to retrieve images from Amazon.com. Under Mac OS X 10.3.x, this method no longer works. The script now uses an alternate method to retrieve the images but still requires an Amazon.com Web Services Developer’s Token (aka Subscription ID).
