To make the application even more useful, JPT comes with a helper contextual menu plug-in. The JPT Contextual Menu allows you to select a number in almost any application and instantly dial it in JPT. This contextual menu plug-in must be installed (see the “JPT Contextual Menu” folder on the JPT disk image). Once installed, simply highlight a phone number, then Control-click and select “Dial Selection via JPT” from the JPT submenu and the number will be dialed using your current Dial Rules and Dial Method. The contextual menu also allows you to dial the selection literally (without applying the current Location’s Dial Rules) and to dial the contents of the clipboard.

To install the contextual menu plug-in, just use the included installer and it will automatically place the JPT contextual menu (“jpt_cm.plugin”) in either your local contextual menu items folder:

/Users/your user name/Library/Contextual Menu Items/

or, if this folder does not exist or you choose to install for all users on your machine, in the main contextual menu items folder:

/Library/Contextual Menu Items/

If you wish, you can manually place the plug-in in either location. If you need to un-install the plug-in at any time, simply remove “jpt_cm.plugin” from the “Contextual Menu Items” folder into which it was installed and then log out.
