If you hold down the Control key when you select any data item, instead of triggering the default selection action for that data item type, a window will open that allows you to choose any of the supported actions for the selected data type (with the default action pre-selected in the menu) on-the-fly. Just choose the action you want to trigger and press the continue button. The action chosen will only effect the current data item and will not change the default action for the specified data item type. If you don’t want to act on the data item at all, just click the cancel button in the “Choose Action” window (or press the esc key).
