Using the Address Book Menus

In every While You Were Out note, there are two Address Book menus, one to use to complete the “For” field and the other to help complete the “From” fields.

The top menu, used for the “For” field, only contains the names of the contacts contained in your Address Book database managed by the Contacts application. Selecting a name from this menu will automatically add that name to the “For” field.

The bottom Address Book menu is used for the various “From” fields. The contacts in this Address Book menu contain both names and the associated phone numbers for the contacts in your Address Book database. If you select a name from this menu, that name will be added to the “From” field. If the selected contact has an associated company or organization name, this will be added to the “Of” field. Better yet, select a phone number from this menu and you will also get the name and organization data but, in addition, the number will be added to the “Number” field and the label will be selected in the label pop-up menu.
